It's still spring right? Forget about summer --which (__insert teenager OMG! here__) is very hard to do: temperatures are super-record-breaking high--. So I wanted to do a look today that was meant to be more colorful and away from warm tones. Blues and purples came to my mind.
For my almost dehydrated skin I used my Revlon Colorstay Foundation in True Beige BUT in the Normal/Dry formula. I love this formula because it is not as dry and matte as the Combo/Oily one. It's just what I need right now for my skin to have more of a dewy look. And hell, the Colorstay do stay put all frickin' day. I just spray some MAC Fix+ during the day and it looks almost as it was just applied.
The issue with this formula is that Revlon offers less shades than the C/O formula and most of them have pink undertones, neutral at much (Hello Revlon! I'm sure you do something about that). On the other hand, it has higher SPF (SPF 15 this particular shade).
Now True Beige has a hint of pink. I don't consider it's too much but I think it suits my MAC NC skintone okay. Not perfect but Okay. I used it because I'm a bit darker these days since I spent some time outside this past week. That is both good and bad because I have more color on my skin but also all my freckles and my dear friend Melasma decide to show their "beautiful" brown color whenever I dare to say hi to the sun. Oh well.
I think True Beige could work for both NC and NW skintones. I'd say I'm on the darker side of NC 37 these days maybe? I also used the Palladio Rice Powder in Natural to set the foundation. This powder is more yellow so it helped to balanced out the shade of my makeup and really keeps my skin looking soft.
Anyway here are the pics.
