White Out

Super white teeth have become a beauty must. I've lusted after attaining perfect little pearly whites since high school when I used Pearl Drops instead of regular toothpaste. Now the market is flooded with all sorts of whitening products. From toothpastes, gels, strips, and paints, there's a product out there for everyone who wants to erase stains from coffee, tea, wine, and tobacco.

Now, Aquafresh has a new whitening system on the market: White Trays. According to their ads, the trays are easier to use than the funky little strips we've all gotten used to. They're designed to provide a custom fit, and since they are disposable, they're pre-filled with whatever the magic whitening goo is that they use. Aquafresh promises visibly whiter teeth in 3 days and full results in a week. According to their website, you only need to wear the trays once a day for 30 to 40 minutes--this sounds much better than the usual twice a day, peel and stick fiasco required for whitening strips.

I, for one, am not a huge fan of the whitening strips. They're hard to apply, slip off easily, and feel really gross in my mouth. Maybe the tray system is a better alternative for people like me who are a little challenged when it comes to at-home whitening. Sure the system isn't cheap (it retails for about $36, but you can get coupons online or a better deal though drugstore.com), but going out for professional cleaning is at least ten times the price.

I'll get around to ordering it soon, but if you've already tried this out, leave me a comment and share your thoughts!
