So I was sanitizing all my eyeshadows...(show off alert!)

...and decided to take some pictures. I realized I've never done that b4 (take a pic of almost all my e/s collection). So here I am, being a show off...lol.  I started my collection about 2.5 yrs ago as I've been learning how to do my eye makeup.  Cosmetics in general has become a real passion for me and I'm blessed to be able to get all these products.

Note: Oh, yes, I've bought all this stuff I'm showing. No one has given me anything, well with the exception of my awesome husband, hahaha.

I decided today to sanitize my eyeshadows because it's been more than a year  since I last did it and just the other day my eyes got all red after using some of my MAC neutral e/s and mascara. I already know it wasn't the mascara so the culprit had to be the eyeshadow. I usually spray alcohol on all my powder products and let them dry. For my paintpots and other creamy products, I first swipe the surface with a cotton square or papel towel then spray them with alcohol. The lovely Glintzy shows this whole process on the next video:

I realize after taking these pics that I left out my 2 Coastal Scents palettes (photos HERE) and my 28 neutral shades palette (pictured HERE). I cleaned them later on. I think I will be giving away the Coastal Scents palettes to a friend because I don't use them much.  I have other pigments I didn't show because I don't clean them (except the packaging).

You can see why I will not be buying new e/s possibly for the next year! Mmm...unless it's a shade completely different from those I already have---and to be honest, I haven't been impressed with the latest collections from my favorite brands.

If you have any questions about any of these pics (the name of an eye shadow for example) just leave a comment.

Hope you're having a lovely long weekend.

ETA: I forgot about my Urban Decay e/s and the L'oreal HIP ones. Too much stuff, I tell you, too much.  But I enjoy them.

Confiscated: 11,000 fake cosmetic products

This was recently posted in YouTube. Police in Madrid confiscated almost 11,000 fake cosmetics products that included makeup and skincare. The products came from China. They look like the real thing! But no one knows for sure what they are made of and the reporter mentions that of course, they can cause skin problems.

A word to the wise is enough.  Ay, ay, ay.

Live From Jail

This video with DJ Scoob Doo talking to Lil Wayne from jail is so cool to me, maybe because I'm happy he's okay, at least he sounds okay. It's also funny to hear him and Scoob to put on that New York voice/slang. They talk about how well Single- the video did =) Kudos to you Lil Wayne and thank you DJ Scoob Doo for dropping that video !

R.I.P. Gary Coleman

Gary Wayne Coleman (February 8, 1968 – May 28, 2010) was an actor. best known for his childhood role as Arnold Jackson in the American sitcom Diff'rent Strokes (1978–1986). He was described in the 1980s as "one of television's most promising stars." After a successful childhood acting career, Coleman struggled financially later in life. But Mr. Coleman, who died Friday at age 42 after suffering a fall at his Santaquin, Utah, home, went on to become a poster child for the child-star gone astray. Finding only spotty work as an adult actor, he sued his parents, was arrested for assault, and squandered his savings.

Lesson learned

Where should one even start with this individual it's Kat Stacks "beetch". There has been a video out of sources say Fabolous brother slapping Kat Stacks. He goes on to say, "say sorry , apologize bitch, you must be crazy, whats wrong with you". I know it's wrong to slap a female and all but dont you guys think she deserves it. She needs a whoop assin'. She's out of order in what she is doing. Well karma is a bitch and it will catch back up to her.

Mini Haul: Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner and Face Atelier Ultra Foundation (review+swatches)

Yep, mini haul from CameraReadyCosmetics.com:  it was about USD $30. I just bought a bottle of Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner and 3 foundation samples from Face Atelier.

I gotta say, I placed my order last Sunday (5/23) and I received it on Thursday (5/27). That was fast considering the package came from California (San Diego?). I ordered from them because I got products from different companies in just one place which translated in cheaper shipping costs. I'm impressed.

First, here are some swatches of the Face Atelier Ultra Foundation ($45.00 USD for 1oz). I've read so many nice things and great reviews from different makeup artists about this foundation that I just had to try it. This foundation claims that no primer or setting powder is needed when using it--that interested me very much so. I'm very thankful that they sell samples (which are good for about 2-3 applications) as I was not sure what shade was best for me. For now, I think "Honey" will work for me.

***I know I have not reviewed the Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation I bought recently, but I haven't been using it since it's not oil-free. That, combined with the shimmer in it, is just too much for me in this hot weather***

On the other hand, I wanted to try a good professional brush cleaner because I really like to take care of my brushes.  I have quite a collection and they are really important to me.  I normally use Baby Shampoo or anti-bacterial dishwasher and olive oil, but I worried that wasn't enough to leave them sanitized and well conditioned. After doing my research, I decided to get the Cinema Secrets Professional Brush Cleaner ($13.00 for 4 oz--other sizes available). I'm glad I did. Excellent product!

My brush went from this..........................................to this in seconds!

I made a video review!  Short and precise, lol.

I think I will buy the biggest size since it's cheaper per ounce.

That's all for now. Have a great weekend!
