Hilary Duff files suit against stalkers

Hilary Duff has filed for a restraining order in LA Superior Court against two alleged stalkers. Duff claims a nineteen-year-old Russian immigrant named Max and his roommate, a 50-year-old paparazzo, have made repeated contact with her manager, showed up at her mother's house, appeared at the grocery store she frequents and attended a show where her boyfriend Joel Madden's band was playing. The documents filed in court claim that Max has said he "believes they [he and Duff] belong together," that he intends to buy a weapon and "has threatened to kill himself and to engage in dramatic actions" to get the singer's attention. The papers also allege that Max moved to the U.S. two years ago for the sole purpose of dating Duff and that he would "remove enemies" who stand in his way. Duff and Madden are requesting that Max and his roommate stay 100 feet away from them and their families at all times.
