LOOK: MAC Magnetic Fields Smokey Eyes (plus the time has come...)

Oh---Oh yes! The time has come for me to use a darker foundation shade. For almost two years I've seen my skin get paler since I'm using sunblock all the time. Not protecting my skin even from indirect sunlight can trigger my melasma.  Two years ago I decided to be more careful and use more sunblock. Hence, my skin tone went down at least two shades.

Now, these past weeks I've mentioned the heat has been almost unbearable here, super hot weather.  I didn't realize I needed to reapply more sunscreen through out the day! I never stay out under direct sunlight for more than a few minutes; I've acquired my darker color while driving or in the shadow of a tree, etc...

suntan lotion Pictures, Images and PhotosMy only concern is that after getting a tiny bit of a tan, the dark spots in my face are more noticeable. Nothing new, just part of my condition. But oh well, I'm more brown now (not as much as I would like, but it's something!). I'll enjoy it while it lasts (a few weeks, a couple of months perhaps? lol) because yes, I will always remain using sunblock with a minimum SPF of 45.

I've been noticing my Double Wear in Tawny is too light for my skin and these pics confirm that. (I know DW has sunscreen and it does gives a bit of a white cast in pics, but the difference is remarkable now). So a new foundation shade it is. I want to:
  • See how the next shade up from the Double Wear is--Shell Beige?
  • Try the Shiseido Sun Protection SPF 42 Foundation (I think that's the name) because I've read it is long lasting. I hope they have a shade that matches me.
  • And I still have the MUFE HD foundation in my list; I received a gift card from Sephora the other day so I guess I'll check that one out.
In the mean time, I'm happy using my Colorstay Makeup. I just like to have more options and see what is out there (when my budget allows it, hahaha).

Anyway...

You know I love smokey eyes, even more the classic ones (You didn't know that? Read my blog! Hehe).  MAC's Magnetic Fields called to me the other day, it was waiting for me to give it some love. A lovely dark brown veluxe pearl eyeshadow with silver sparkles from the MAC's Neo Sci Fi Collection (one of my fave ever).  I have to say, I've not been too crazy about MAC latest collections though...
