On Sept 23, 2009 FINE champagne magazine crowned Ace of Spades #1 by having blind tasteing over 1,000 samples entered of current champagne which some were prestige cuvess, vintages and non- vintages. With most of the champagnes averaging arounf 88-91 points there were other drinks that stuck out with their quality and personality. Armand De Brignac is a fine SMOOTH but yet swaggy and creamy champagne with underlying power and great mineral of freshness. Runner up was Dom Perignon (reg) at #2 and #3 Cuvee R.
