SO...?!:   When I was approached by a marketing firm to see if I wanted to try this, my first thought was "...mmm...I'm not too fond of super sweet smells..."  I'm not a fan of vanilla, apple/cinnamon or similar scents in my skincare products (or perfumes).  But it had the word "exfoliating" in its name, so I got curious (I love exfoliants).  That said, I'm glad I decided to try it!  Gosh, it smells wonderfully, not too overwhelming, not too faint which I love.

Caress is a product that I've know since...well, since many many years ago, lol.  My mom has always use the pink beauty bar since it came out (.....!)  After I tried this product, I asked her why she has never changed brands and she said the other products are not as moisturizing as her Caress beauty bar.  And yes, her opinion is very important to me.

I've been trying out the body wash alongside the beauty bar for a few weeks now. Why the two at the same time? Because not everyday I have the time to "Lather, breathe deep and relax" as Caress advertises, though when I do that  I really enjoy it!  So the beauty bar comes in handy when I'm in a rush but still want to experience that wonderful smell while getting soft skin.

****Between you and me...when I first poured the product on my hand just to feel it...man, I had to restrain myself so I wouldn't lick my palm, lol.  Ah, come on! Like you never had thought of eating some soap or any other stuff that smells like candy...well, maybe you haven't but I have ^__^.****

The main reason I decided to try this was the exfoliating part.  I'm sorry to say I can barely feel the small beads in the body wash and they weren't doing anything for my skin.  Yes, Caress states that it gently exfoliates the skin, but I didn't achieved the result I was expecting. Maybe ladies with more sensible skin will find it just right but I don't. I also want to mention that the consistency of the body wash is not too runny, it is just right.

Now, the beauty bar is great for me because I feel the beads more (it's natural, I'm rubbing it against my skin without using puffs or cloths), but what makes the bar perfect is that the beads are not too harsh.  It is just right for everyday use.  My skin not only feel soft but moisturized after using these products. After using it for a few weeks, I understand why my mom love Caress.

Do I recommend the body wash and the beauty bar?  The body wash is a bit over "average" for me. I mean yes, the smell is awesome, very relaxing and provocative at the same time.  But the main selling point of this (at least for me) is its exfoliating properties. I'm 37 y/o, I need a good exfoliant on a daily basis and this body wash is not enough for what my skin needs. It could work on sensible skin. For me, well, I have other exfoliating products that work to my liking, though they are not as moisturizing as this product (**sighs**). So yes, it depends on what I'm needing at the moment.

Now I totally recommend the Evenly Gorgeous beauty bar. I prefer it because I do feel the beads working on my skin. It has the smell I love, not as much as the body wash, but it is there.

All in all, if you want to pamper your skin then the Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash and Beauty Bar are good products at a great price. Check more about Caress products HERE.
