Drugstore Mini Haul with Reviews and Swatches

In the spirit of my "Drugstore products I love" features, I went the other day to Walgreens to get some things I needed and some I don't. Hahaha. Anyway, I found all these goodies at an amazing price. I didn't spend more than $21 USD in all this stuff.

What I got:

Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Hairspray in Ultra Strong
Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk in Strong
Loreal Ideal Balance Quick Stick Balancing Foundation in Natural Beige
Loreal Colour Juice Stick in Cherry Freeze
Loreal Colour Juice Sheer Juicy Lip Gloss in Melon Punch
Loreal HIP Pure Pigment Shadow Stick in Alluring
Loreal HIP Pure Pigment Shadow Stick in Irresistible
Sally Hansen Line Smoothing Mineral Lip Treatment in Amethyst

I am liking the Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk in Strong (I haven't tried the hairspray). I got it because I read good reviews about this dealing with fine hair like mine without weighting it down. I have used it already and it was good. It's a very lightweight cream, very easy to apply (from the end up to roots). My wavy/almost curly hair (yeah, that's the best description I can give to it) seemed smoother, not greasy and the curls were well defined. The only thing I hated was that it doesn't lasts much, 3-4 hours at most.

Regular price at Walgreens is $2.99 USD but I got it for $0.99 after using a discount coupon. I give this a 4 out of 5.

Okay, so I admit I just picked up the Loreal Ideal Balance Quick Stick Balancing Foundation because it was on sale like for $3 and some change. I had no idea if it was any good, but after checking out if the color was right for me (it was for the slightly lighter skin tone I have right now) and if it was in good condition, I thought "why not?". It claims to be perfect for combo skin like mine.

While on the store I thought it would make an awesome concealer, great for those red areas around my nose. I have used it also on my cheeks. I like that for a cream, it doesn't feel heavy or too dry and has a powdery finish as the Loreal website says. I do wish it was easier to blend, but the coverage is pretty good actually. It is SPF 14 so hurray. It retails for about $14 USD--Right now, I wouldn't pay full price for it, I would wait for a sale. I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

I love glosses, if you hadn't notice. I like lipsticks that feel like glosses. This is what the Loreal Colour Juice Stick promises. More color like a lipstick, the shine of a gloss. It has moisturizers, but I still use my Carmex under it. This color, "Cherry Freeze", reminds me of MAC's Tendertone in Hot-n-Saucy but just a bit darker. The packaging reminds me of the Neutrogena MoistureShine Lip Sheers. It doesn't have SPF (booo!), but they feel better on my lips than the Neutrogena ones, so... I'll post some swatches of it on my lips later on. Again, I like them, but price is too high (almost $10USD but I got for less than $4). 4 out of 5 because I really like it, lol.

I have like a love/hate relationship with the Loreal Colour Juice Sheer Juicy Lip Glosses. I love the colours but they are highly sticky. My Carmex Lip Balm actually helps with them not feeling so tacky. This product has Sheer on its name but I gotta say, it is well pigmented. Melon Punch is an excellent orange color, I love it!! I feel they stay on the lips as long as my MAC glosses, which is very good. Very shimmery indeed. Again, fruity smell. I love the packaging. 4.5/5. Swatches on my next post (I haven't take the lips pics yet, lol)

When I decided to buy these two next products, I did it knowing reviews on the Loreal HIP Pure Pigment Shadow Sticks weren't the best. Again, they were on sale like for 2 bucks (I think) so it was a good moment to try them. Most people hate how hard the application is, many complaint about not getting any color. I haven't try them yet, I'll let you know. I am planning on applying them wet (with some mixing medium) and use them mostly as a base.

Oh my God, the Line Smoothing Mineral Lip Treatment has to be one of Sally Hansen's best products. Great color payoff (for a gloss), good staying power, no stupid smell and they are not sticky. The "Retinol helps to visibly reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Tourmaline boosts lip radiance. Vitamins condition the delicate lip area." Yeah, my lips welcome this cheap gloss. You get a good amount of product for a good price--$5-$6 USD. The only bad thing is the applicator, getting product on it can be hard. Sally has to deal with that. I just keep "pumping" the bottle until I get the desired amount, but it is bothering. 4.5 out of 5. If they ever fix the issue with the doe foot applicator, it will surely get a 5/5. =)

So, I owe you some swatches of the glosses. I will be posting that ASAP.

Also, I GOT MY PRODUCTS FROM BEAUTY.COM, finally! I ordered some NARS blushes (of course, Orgasm is one of the two I ordered, so effin' pretty!!!) and some other goodies. I'll share my thoughts on them later on.
